Germany, as the most populous country in the European Union, is an important market for China’s new energy vehicle enterprises to go overseas; and as the “world’s automotive kingdom”, the complete and mature automotive industry chain is also worthwhile for China’s new energy vehicle enterprises to “learn from”.
The study tour travelled from the southeast to the northeast of Germany, visiting five cities, namely Munich, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Dresden and Berlin; visiting famous enterprises in the industry, such as Ningde Times, Nexperia Semiconductor, Great Wall Motors, Mercedes-Benz factory, Volkswagen factory, etc., and having in-depth communication and exchanges with the relevant personnel of the enterprises; participating in the Munich Automotive Show and the Sino-European Vehicle Enterprises Summit Forum in Germany, so as to grasp the cutting-edge trends and technologies in authoritative exhibitions in the industry;
We visited the production lines of Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen to understand the German automotive industry in an immersive way; we visited the Technical University of Munich (TUM), which is one of the top universities in Germany, and exchanged ideas with researchers from the Technical University of Dresden (TU Dresden) to get a feel of the academic atmosphere of Germany on the spot; and we have held several industry exchange meetings to gather industrialists to discuss the entrepreneurship and investment opportunities in Germany.
Competition between automobiles and chips
When we visited German semiconductor companies, the product manager’s friend said clearly that European semiconductor companies have to compete in the future incremental market, each has its own professional expertise, each has its own expertise in the incremental market to be tapped, and the overlap is very small.

After seeing the production line there are probably the following feelings:

2, luxury cars and traditional cars, electric car competition is not a dimension of competition, it is the same as Hermes, custom, scarcity, the pursuit of items outside the use of the sense of access.
3, digital production is a big trend, high integration of products can also be the product process is constantly dismantled, with digital and robotics to replace the tedious and repetitive work, people bear more in it is the wisdom of the brain, assist and optimise the function.
